about

Up tempo EDM track that echoes the declaration of the believer who walks by faith. To trust God in all situations regardless of what things look like on the outside. Speaking what God speaks in His word and relying on Him to accomplish His sovereign will in our lives from day to day.

lyrics

"Comin Like A Thief" (LYRICS)

He's comin like a thief
comin like a thief

(Rap)
He's comin like a thief
and a robber at night
no I don't know when
though tonight He just might
attention everyone listen to this word
Jesus is comin just in case you haven't heard
wait just a minute don't you turn turn station
cause we're sending it out all over the nation
to hear this song you don't need discretion
cause each and everyone
needs to hear this message

Therefore you always watch and pray
He may come morning noon any night or day
Therefore you always watch and pray
He may come morning noon any night or day

(1st Verse)
There has been a lot of talk about
the coming of the Lord and is it true
they been saying this for years and years
some of you may think this saying isn't true
but without a doubt I know it's right
you may not believe but still He's coming soon
oh it's so close right at the door
I can feel it inside I know this ain't no lie

(Chorus)
send out this message tell the news
about the greatest man you ever knew
send out this message tell the world
Jesus is coming back to the earth

Give me some bass...

(2nd Verse)
mothers against daughters
and fathers against sons
there's a lot of starvation
and earthquakes in different places
there's war all over the land
evil in the hearts of men
the gospels being preached
and we know that times at hand
without a doubt I know it's right
you may not believe but still He's coming soon
oh it's so close right at the door
I can feel it inside I know this ain't no lie

(Repeat Chorus)
send out this message tell the news
about the greatest man you ever knew
send out this message tell the world
Jesus is coming back to the earth

Therefore you always watch and pray
He may come morning noon any night or day
Therefore you always watch and pray
He may come morning noon
Therefore you always watch and pray
He may come morning noon any night or day
Therefore you always watch and pray
He may come morning noon any night or day

Man this ain't no joke, you know this ain't no hoax
girl you better believe, don't you be deceived
He's coming very soon, what you gonna do
will you be ready when He comes to take us
He didn't come in the 80's He might come in the 90's
I don't know the year, I don't know the month
I don't know the week, I don't know the day
I don't know the hour, I don't know the minute
I don't know the second, but I know He's coming
comin back for you comin back for me
I know it won't be long He's gonna take us home
you better watch and pray keep looking for that day
Jesus is coming sending out this message
Jesus is coming sending out this message
He's comin like a thief don't let Him catch you sleep
sending out this message, sending out this message

Written, arranged and produced by Garry Moore for
the 1990 Fire Power album - his former Christian band.
The group disbanded and the album was never released.
G Moore Music, Ascap. Last Days Records. 2023
Recorded and roughly-mixed at Take One Studios, Salem USA.
( This song was recorded in the summer of 1990 )
However, this version is from a cassette tape, unfinished,
unmixed and unmastered.
As you can hear, this song had great potential!

Garry Moore... lead and background vocals.
Allen Rudd... background vocals.
Garry Moore... guitars, electric piano, synthesizer, strings,
percussion, and drum programming.
Emerson Henderson... electric bass.

(Only 3 members of the 5 member band "Fire Power" are
on this particular song from the unfinished 1990 album)
The other 2 members didn't come to the studio that day.
The song wasn't quite finished or even mixed, so what you
hear is a rough copy that I took home to listen to so I could
analyze it and prepare my notes for the next recording session.
However, we never made it back into the studio to finish it.
A few months later in 1991 the band officially broke up.
In 1996 Garry Moore continued his music career as a solo artist.
