STORY BEHIND THE SONG...
I wrote this song during my Mothers last week alive before she past on July 15th 2023. Feeling somewhat low in spirit, with a heavy heart, I began to pray while putting pen to paper, composing the melody as the joy of the Lord overwhelmed me through and through. I rushed into my studio and began to record immediately as the song was being birthed. I was actually recording the song while writing and arranging the various parts. The sorrow began to dissipate as the Holy Spirit inspired me to sing the words "I Feel A Lot Better" because that is exactly what was taking place with me! The words as well as the music comforted me in my time of sorrow. The song ministered to me while writing it. It was heartfelt and sincere, all in the moment of coming to grips with my Mothers transition. I finished the song 3 days after her passing. She had survived 6 months after suffering 2 strokes only weeks apart at the age of 88 years and 10 months. I decided to release this inspiring, uplifting track on my Mothers birthday, which is today (September 8th) she would have been 89... I miss you Mother!
